Steeped in antiquity and romantic motifs, Abbazia Santa Maria del Bosco is a stunning venue with over 700 years of history. Get married in a lovingly restored Italian castle, originally built as an ancient abbey for Benedictine monks. The abbey, surrounded by 200 hectares of woodland offers a wonderful panoramic view of western Sicily.
The enclosed courtyard (cloister) is a haven rich with character, romance and Italian charm- the perfect spot for a reception. Awash in shades of terracotta and ivory, the courtyard features 36 columns, round arches and a large Baroque fountain in the center dating back to 1713. The contemporary lights around the centre fountain bring a modern feeling to this historic location; pairing the best of the old world with the new.
Surprise your guests with a celebration in the ballroom, walking down the 108-meter long stone corridor- equally extravagant and beautifully understated. Red velvet drapes, flickering candlelight, a live band echoing in the background as you dance into the night. Talk about Great Gatsby vibes!
With on-site accommodation for family and friends, this is a perfect wedding destination to enjoy for a getaway with loved ones. Today, Abbazia Santa Maria del Bosco is under private management by a lovely Italian family and they have previously hosted 200+ weddings.
